How To Make Waffle

Ingredient Measurements

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1: Preheat the Waffle Maker

Before jumping to the ingredients, take a minute to preheat the waffle maker. Preheating makes the waffle iron hot and when batter is added there, it cooks evenly. That way you can get that perfect golden brown color in your waffles.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

Then, move towards adding another portion of the dry one and then the wet one, and do the whisking until combined. Follow this rule until done. This makes the mixing part easy and the batter becomes less lumpy. 

Having slightly lumpy batter is normal so, don’t try to overmix it. It will only make the waffles tough and more chewy rather than light and soft. 

Tips: 

Don’t just whisk continuously. Stop in between and scrape down the sides of the batter using a rubber spatula. That way the batter combines evenly.
